I have a plan and a few ? My plan is to mill the heads .025 (already done) to get the compression up to or near 10 to 1. Planning on useing a Comp. Cam .224-.230 with .571 lift on a 110 lobe sep.. I removed the stock LQ4 cam today but the crank gear does not want to come off. Is there a trick to getting it off? What about leaving it on and go with a new LS2 chain? This is a 30,000 mile engine with the cross hash marks still there. I am not going for all out HP --just bump it up some. Any and all suggestions appreciated. Thanks --Lee

I have never changed my crank gear unless there was something wrong which i have never had that problem. My motor has 130000 miles on it and the crank gear looks perfect. It should come off with a puller but you will be fine re using it.
