Default Attempting to figure out the ECM to use with my harness

Hello
Attempting to figure out the ECM to use with my harness.
I have a 1999 LS1 with a DBW harness that has the blue and red connectors.
My harness is dated 09-02-98. How do I tell which computer I will need.
I understand there are differences between the 1997-98 and the 99-06. Looks like my harness is very close to the cut off. I have the pin-outs traced pretty well. Is there a way to tell by the pin locations?

Second question is my harness looks like it will require a DBW TAC module.
These have become quite expensive, almost $400 on Ebay. Any ideas on the best place to purchase the TAC module and VATS deleted computer?
Thanks in advance.
Rick

None of the 4th gen stuff had DBW, so you dont need a TAC module. The 97-98 ECM plugs are Very much different than the 99+ ones, like they dont even look the same.

Umm No.
97 and up Corvettes all had DBW and thus had a TAC module.
All Corvettes 97/98 and Fbodies 98 and all 99-02 had red/blue connectors that were the same. 97/98 and 99-02 are pinned to the ECM completely different. See LT1swap.com for pinout info.
Check board sponsors for info on purchasing an ECM.

I stand corrected, for some reason I had F-body on the mind and the ECM case in my 98 looks much different than the newer stuff, didnt think that the connectors were probably the same..... sorry for the miss-information.
