Default 2003 S10 Xtreme “The Wine-O” 427” Twin 88s

Been awhile since I’ve done an actual build thread. Other than building cars, my favorite thing to do is take pictures. So I figured I’d share with you guys.

Around September/October I started the search for a Single cab S10 Xtreme. After searching High and Low, I finally found one. The truck was a super clean 2.2 Cylinder/5 Speed Black S10 Xtreme. It’s been garage kept majority of its existence lol, picked it up for $2000. SCOREEEE
Daily Drove the truck around for about a month.. then the disassembly began.
Picked up an entire tubular front clip/ Core Support for the truck. You can get a jist of how it’ll look in the pics. Oh, yeah, did I mention I don’t have a garage lol gotta make do with the driveway!

Got the truck all stripped out as It’s getting a 25.3 Cage. I actually stripped all of the OEM wiring out of it aswell. I’m going to run a Boost Leash Street/Strip electrical board and re-wire everything from scratch, Which should clean it up a lot!

Now time for the Pic heavy EXPENSIVE PART LOL. I received my double beadlocks from Weld Racing and mannnnn was it worth it! They are 15x14 on a 3.0” backspacing.. nice deep dish😛😝. Then I picked up a brand new set of Alumastar 2.0s local for a smoking deal!

Just doing a little mock-up, I ended up gutting the entire interior of the bed for simplicity and ease of getting to things. I actually plan on making it a 2 piece bed, so I can remove it in halves. Ended up getting my new center section from strange, along with my parachute mount from motion Raceworks.

The build literally started because I just decided to jump in my truck one late November Saturday morning and drive down to summit in Ohio and Buy an LSX block. LOL I kid you NOT! Gotta start somewhere right!?🤷🏻dum♂️
So the drivetrain combo consists of....
427 LSX Built by Billy Briggs
HIP’d Casting Trickflow 245 Heads
Diamond Billet Pistons
Callies Ultra Billet I beams
Sonny Bryant Billet CCW Crankshaft /w REM finish
Crower Stainless Adjustable Rockers
LJMS Solid Roller Cam
Dailey Engineering 7 Stage Billet Dry Sump System
Jesel Belt Drive
Cam Driven Waterman 23gpm Fuel pump (Alcohol)
Aeromotive Belt Drive fuel pump (E85)
Billet Atomizer 800lb Injectors (Alcohol)
Moran Billet Atomizer 235lb (E85)
Reid Racing 1.80 StraightCut Powerglide
PTC Converter
Twin Forced Inductions Garrett 88mm Turbos (GTR-5088s)
Twin PTE 66mm Wastegates
Holley Dominator EFI
Holley Highram

Theres much more, just too much to remember. The truck will be running a Dual Fuel System (16 Injectors) with No Intercooler. The fuel systems are completely divorced from each other.
E85 on the street for Lower Boost, then M1/M5 Alcohol when I turn it up.

Got my 1.80 Reid Glide, PTC converter from Dusty. Also picked up my Holley Digital dashes. I have one dash mounted in the cluster and another one mounted in the Radio opening, as I plan to have one Dedicated for gauges and the other Dedicated for virtual switches. I’m going to have all the interior/Headlights, and Digital Push to start on one of the dashes.

That's some nice ****!! I have an S-10 that I bought new in 98 and have been wanting to do an LS since it was new. I'll be watching. in the motorcycle world the way your crank is polished and smoothed out it's called knife-edged.

WOW! You jumped in BIG on this one! I remember you from the s10 forum. I was/am Iroc-10 there, but kind of gave up on that forum, tired of a couple idiots.

Can't wait to see your progress! Between you and Petro, DAMN!

Ah yeah man! I remember you! Lol nice!

I apologize as some one of these pics may be out of order.. I bought a lot of stuff for this build and sold off some to go bigger such as turbos, wastegates, ect as the build has snowballed out of control lol. The pics of the Turbos in the grille were the previous Forced Inductions S480 ETR (80/87) that I sold off to get my new 88mm Forced Inductions Garrett’s. However everything will be mounted the same way. I am no longer using the 417 Intercooler either as I sold it off, I am not using an Intercooler period at this point. The truck has a 4 Link back half built by Checkered Racing, with a Strange Ultra Fab 9” housing along with strange brakes, Strange 40 spline gun drilled axles, and Menscer Motorsports Coilovers.

That's going to be fun, I have a 2000 Xtreme 6.0 LSA supercharger tr6060 that I built as a daily driver, It was a frame off build but not nearly to this level but it's still fun.

My EX leased a 2000 4cyl/5 speed Blue Extreme with racing stripes new. I was thinking about buying it when the lease was up and LS swapping it, but we had some issues at the end of the lease, so we let it go.

I couldn't comfortably fit in it anyway, lol.

Watching this one. I'm also on S10Forum.
