Toyota and Subaru's rear-drive coupe is an amazing little car, with one caveat - it doesn't pack much punch. But like everything else in life, an LS makes them infinitely better!
I’ve actually scaled the LS3 components - and if you read the Speedhunters version of this article - seems lifted almost word for word - it says the weight diff in drivetrains is 44 lbs. I don’t believe 2# or 44#. T56 alone weighs a good 55 lbs more than a T5 - it and the MUCH bigger bell, flywheel, clutch weigh at least 50-60 lbs more than the brz components. And all aluminum 4 banger vs V8 - the V8 is gonna be at least 75 lbs more. Similarly equipped, LS3 is only 18 lbs lighter than a cast iron Ford 5.0L w/alum heads. Don’t know where their numbers come from - maybe they reduced weight in other areas (unlikely given MUCH bigger wheel/tire package) - but no way LS3/six-speed is only 2 or 44 pounds heavier than stock flat 4/6 speed.

Nice swap!!! I have a question tho I hope you don't mind answering:
For the original FA20's Transmission from the BRZ/86, whats the length of A in this picture? If you are using a T56 transmission for the swap, which specific one did you use to make the shifter fit right at the OEM location?
