Default Front coil springs

Would anybody happen to have the part #for the front coil springs in a 70 A body when doing a ls swap?

Small block springs should work, as even they are a bit heavier than LS engines

Someone said they mad some just for ls swapped A body cars so I thought I would see what everybody used.This research stuff is very time consuming for someone that can barely turn on a computer and can't remember anything.lol

You might check with some of the aftermarket suspension outfits, like BMR, Hotchkiss, Spohn, SC & C, etc.

I promise - it's even MORE time consuming if you CAN'T turn on a computer.

My 71 cutlass sat about 1/2" higher after the swap from 350 olds with original air conditioning to the iron block LS. It's not a big difference.

Iron block LS will not be much lighter, but if you swap to an aluminum LS motor then you will sit quite a bit higher. Easiest method is to do the swap and figure out how much lower you would like your front end to sit. The front springs on an A body can be cut so if you are on a budget you could cut a coil off. There are several lowering springs available as well so if you are using stock ride springs and it sits too high then buy 1" or 2" lowering springs.

If you aren't on a tight budget and want the best ride height possible (fully tune-able) and a great ride then I suggest a set of coil overs. I installed the QA1 kit on my chevelle and I absolutely love it.
