DBC LQ4 overly sensitive throttle I have swapped an LQ4 into my 1969 GTO. It has a Rubens .217 .224 @.050 cam., milled and ported 243 heads, Comp Cams springs, Hooker headers, Pro Comp intake, and Professional Products 102mm throttle body. Hooked up to a 4l65e with a 2800 stall converter. Finally the rear gears are 3.55.
I have just recently started driving this car. I have to be very very careful when taking off from a stop to keep the wheels from spinning.
My question is, Is this something I can tune out with timing or something? It is scary when sitting at a light behind another car. I have to let the car get way out in front of me before I can push on the pedal very gingerly to try to take off at a non tire spinning pace. There is no binding in the Throttle body or cable or pedal.
