CAMARO 74 project " beginner" hello gents,
i just bought a camaro 70 and building it from scratch. i got for it an LS1 and dont know what transmition and rear differential would be best to use. intention daily driver to reach whp400. also suspension and breaks would be a highly appreciated input need.

Welcome aboard. Is your Camaro a 70 per the text or a 1974 per the title. Might make a difference in how people answer you. Start yourself a build thread in the Conversions Section and there will also be plenty for you to read and take notes on before asking questions - will save you a lot of time waiting for others to post answers to your questions.

^^^^Agreed. Also, posting pictures seems to generate a lot more interest. When you just tell people you have something it's not very exciting, when you SHOW people what you have it can be.

Oh, and this site has a ton of info that isn't necessarily easy to find. I have found that the best way to research something is to put the subject into a google search bar and then add ls1tech. Always get results that way.
"Best to use" is not easy to answer as there are way to many variables. If you've got a factory 8.5 10 inch now you can build that up and be good for 400whp.
