Also, none of that will matter if your computer is dying when you release the key......

T,

I have constant power going to all the constants (pcm gets 1, obd2 gets 1) and all my pink ignition wires are going to my fuse block which is powered through my relay which is triggered by the pink wire coming out of the pcm. And I'm using a 2003 pcm out of a chevy express van with drive by cable

T,
I don't think the computer is dying when I release the key

Your relay should be triggered by the pink wire coming from your ignition switch, which should be on in start and run. The pink wires are also triggered by the relay which should power your injectors and coils awaiting a pulse from the PCM.

T,

I'm sorry that's what I meant to say, but yes that's how I have it wired. (I'm at work right Now so I'm trying to think about how the wires are ran)

Cool, it just sounds like you have power to the pump etc...but somehow either your injectors or coils are getting cut off. Sounds strong on initial start and the pump keeps running when it dies, then it just quits....like when you let the key go.

Does it do it immediately when you release the key, of does it continue for a brief moment after you take your hand off the key?

T,
continues for a brief moment when I let go. The crazy thing is that it'll start right back up after it shuts off... if the pcm lost power then wouldn't the pcm stop communicating with the pump?

It should stop communicating.....

When it restarts does it continue to run, or repeat the same symptom?

I went back and read about the VATS. You say it was disabled. Ask the person who did it if they did a "write entire" in the PCM, and not just a "write calibration". I have seen the VATS delete not work on just a "write calibration".

This sounds like VATS, or a wiring issue. I am out of options....

T,
I've triple checked my wiring so I'm very confident it's correct. I just started it and kept it going on starting fluid, so ignition isn't cut off, fuel injectors are getting killed by the pcm. And I'm going to have my tuner guy come to me to see what's going on, has to be pcm related

Does anyone know if the injectors are polarity sensitive? Meaning does it matter which pin is positive?

Alright figured it out, since I'm using a mechanical oil pressure gauge and took the electronic sending unit. Well the pcm wasn't getting an oil pressure signal and killing the injectors. So I had the oil pressure sensor turned off, fired right up!!

Wait!

I was right?

That's like never the case on this forum!

The Oil Pressure Cutoff on my truck is external from the ECM. I guess it uses an oil pressure switch to keep the fuel pump relay powered.

This is good to know! Is this only for 03 and up pcms? My 2000 pcm and harness had the oil sensor going right into the dash I believe.

I have no clue if it's on all 2003+ pcm's, but it sure was an issue with my 2003 pcm
