Truck intake on LS1
In the process of buttoning things up and then getting it tuned. I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to swap the stock LS1 intake to a truck one for extra torque.
What do I do about the fuel lines. The truck intake that i got doesn't seem to have a fuel regulator(or whatever that regulator looking thing between the rails that ls1 has). Is that something that I need to address or is the fuel can be controlled by stock ls1 ecu without the regulator? I.e just plug the fuel in and thats it?
I was under impression that all I have to do is connect fuel in, and the fuel vapour return line(not sure the actual name). And cap off my existing fuel return line on the car and good to go.
Also note, I think some systems use pwm from the ecu to regulate pressure, so just because the bmw may be rated at "x" pressure doesn't mean that pump will put that out with the 411 ecu controlling it.

I connect that to fuel in and return lines and run one line to the engine for fuel in. And the vapour line from the engine back to tank and im good. Thanks guys.

I don't know if the truck intake will clear your hood. It a bunch taller than the LS1 intake.
I had 3.91 gears in mine and there was no lack on torque. Besides the LS1 intake looks so much better. Those truck intakes aren't very pretty.
Here's a pic of mine.
Ima shave the intake and cut the hood. It'll look ok.
On a sidenote does anybody know if i need these weird injector caps/seals from the injector ports on the truck manifold to install the ls1 injectors?
