Thanks for the pic. I think I’ve changed my mind again. I purchased an ls1 intake primarily to clean the top of the engine up. I also purchased an f body water pump and spacers. Now, I am fairly certain I’m going to forget the ls1 intake and go back to the truck intake. I’ll just smooth and paint the truck intake. This will allow me more clearance on the passenger side for turbo components. I think I’ll also keep the ac compressor right where it is and clearance the frame rail on that side. This way the compressor can be ratained while adding the turbo hardware where the compressor would otherwise need to be relocated to.

I think you'll be happy with the truck intake they're said to make more torque. Problem is they're tall and very ugly haha. They make all kinds of different AC compressor configurations not sure what you've looked into but check out LSSimple. A google search will get you to their site.

Finished installing the heads, little more work to do prettying up the intake, but I got to mount the water pump and I'm assuming I don't need the spacer kit? I installed it with and the tensioner pulley sticks out way further than the balancer. So then I thought maybe it was the new tensioner pulley i bought and tried the old stock one...same thing....sticks out way to far? Actually would have been real nice to use the spacers as it would allow me (I think) to route the turbo oil return line behind the water pump. Can anyone tell me if I need to just get rid of the spacers or do something else entirely?

new tensioner with pump spacers installed, you can see how far it sticks out beyond the harmonic balancer

same with old tensioner

Here are some injectors that I think should work for your application:

Are you using a belt tensioner designed for a LS1 Fbody or one designed for the truck?

So I need the f body tensioner and it’ll fit? That would be great. Those tensioners in the pics are both Truck tensioners. Sorry. I don’t know they’d be different.

Yeah, you'll need the one for an Fbody.

I searched for f body tensioner and nothing came up. Excuse my ignorance but I’m not really sure what an f body is. I’d be eternally grateful if you could link the tensioner I need...

When you go to the parts store or are ordering online select 2002 Chevrolet Camaro w/ 5.7l V8 as your vehicle.

Fbody is the Camaro/Firebird chassis.

Thanks! One last thing; now that I’ve changed to this water pump, and tensiOner(the one I’ll order tonight) will all me other truck accessories fit? Like the compressor, alternator and steering pump?

The rest of the truck accessories should fit and align.

Thanks again. Purchased. Next on the list is mounting manifolds and turbo/oil lines.

I'm not sure how the ac compressor works on the fbody setup but on the truck its a separate belt setup. Maybe it ends up at the same spacing and you can use one big belt? As far as the alternator and steering if you use the big front mount truck bracket, you'll be at the truck spacing and then you're be too far out again. I know the alternator works on the fbody alt bracket but now your into buying more brackets so you'll have to figure that out. I'm sure someone else can chime in. Unless you already bought them! Then you're all set!

EDIT: I see that the balancer you have (I assume its fbody) has the inner belt setup. I assume that'll be for the ac compressor. I didn't know they were setup like that.

Yep. I've got my fingers crossed, but I too assumed that's what the extra wide main pulley was for. Got the driver side manifold now I'm thinking of going with the kb racing hotside setup. A little on the spendy side at about 1900 but it looks to be quality-made. Comes with 4" downpipe, passenger log manifold made to accept the t4 flange, crossover pipe, and a 50mm wastegate.

If you've got the truck alt and ps bracket laying around it would only take 1 minute to see if its gonna line up. I hate to see you get hung up on stupid brackets! haha. Does that hotside come with a turbo for that kind of money? That seems a bit pricey for me personally. If your handy with a welder you'd be into it for almost nothing.

I bought two passenger side valve covers with the oil fill port. If I just put a crankcase breather filter on each is that okay? I can eliminate the Pcv that way and have plenty of breathing for the extra blowby because the rings are gapped larger? I don’t want to start blowing out seals or oil. https://www.ebay.com/itm/PCV-Valve-S...EAAOSwGMJa1qBR
