Need help identifying a truck harness wire
Need help identifying a truck harness wire A little background....... I bought a rough 86 grand prix with an 01 4.8/4l60e. I swapped the drive train and wiring harness into my 86 olds 442. I'm integrating the wiring into the olds chassis and I have a purple wire (might have a silver stripe....my eyes aren't that great) that was connected somewhere in the donor cars dash harness that I'm unsure of its function. The wire goes to the engine (not the ecm connectors). The harness is neatly loomed together and tucked between the engine and firewall......so I'd rather not cut it open to trace the wire. Anyone have any ideas on what this purple wire's function is?
