Default 1969 Camaro L99 with 6l80

I recently purchased an L99 w/6l80 out of a 2012 Camaro i am trying to doa budget friendly swap into my 1969Camaro which i know is difficult to do on these swaps but i wanna try to save some money where i can. The engine is equipped with afm/dod and vvt. I want to keep the afm/dod(i know i may get some slack for this) but hey lets be honest gas aint getting any cheaper and i wan to have that gas saving feature avail. Not to mention i like the ac blasting on those hot days.

So my question is do i need any addtl equipment for the afm/dod to work correctly? The engine did not come with an ecm/ecu or cats. As i noticed PSI stanalone wiring states you need to have complete emissions setup for everything to work.

Do a DOD delete. Much easier. If you want to use it, just buy a Camaro 5 ECM

So i can keep the afm and just delete the DOD? I thought they worked together.
What do you mean by camaro 5 ecm? Im assuming you mean a 5th gen ecm correct.? Just making sure.

DOD and AFM are two names for the same thing. "They" deactivate cylinders to turn a V8 into a V4.

The only issue is i want to keep the afm/dod i want to make this a budget friendly swap. Making these dod deletes get pretty pricey.

My question is if i wanted to keep the afm what do i need to make it work? Cats, emission system, etc.

Unless there is no way around it or i would have to spend more on keeping the afm/dod than the afm/dod delete.

L99 does not have dod . It has VVT (variable valve timing) . It has the same lifters as the ls3. Mast motor sports has an ecm/ harness and will supply you with a base tune. You might need a 5 th gen ecm for the trans to shift . Maybe psi for the harness with stock ecm?

I helped a guy put an L99 in a 72 GMC truck 3 or 4 years ago. The DOD lifter failure came about a month after it was done! Got a DOD delete and bigger cam at that time.
