280z LS1 swap died Hello fellow LS1 hybrid owners..I have a problem..NEED HELP...Heres the deal..Datsun 280z LS1 swap..Done right..Added Nissan push Button Start when the 6 banger was in there..The car had been not been driven much at all..I time to the drags and in the back yard for the last 8 months...Charged battery..Fresh Gas..Started right up..Drove to the garage to put air in the tires..While sitting there ideling for about 5 minutes it just shut off...Went to restart and no starter engeage..NOTHING..Turned off saftey switch for push button..Turned back on Pushed button..went to on...Button works..I can hear clicking put nothing engages...Pushed on brake and pushed button to start and no starter engaging..Im sorry but Im not this kind of mechanic..Any ideas ??? Is fuel pump coming in and priming? Is power getting to the starter? Ground wires hooked up, and in good condition? Your problem is either fuel or spark, and you need to determine which one it is, so you can narrow down the troubleshooting steps.

Sounds like a dead battery and a dead alternator possibly. Could've been running off strictly battery power for those few minutes. A car battery doesn't last long with the alternator not charging it or supporting the rest of the electrical system.
