Default Engine is dieseling on shutoff.
Hello to all. I am in the finishing stage of my ls swap on a 1985 Jeep cj7 and have ran in to a problem. When I turn the engine off it diesels for a second. I am thinking it may be a leaking injector. Any advice Thanks Rob.

Besides the above, is it a used engine, and if so how many miles? It might have carbon in the chambers.

It is a 2003 4.8 with the stock injectors with 116000.

its either stupidly rich to the point it can run or or your alternator is back feeding the PCM to power it when you turn the key off.

The pcm has the stock tune but was programed as a stand alone. Not sure about how rich it is running but I need a fan in the garage when it is running. It does not have cats on it. The pcm does have direct power.

Thanks guys for the advice. I found the problem. I had tied the switch power in to a constant power by mistake.
