Default 6AN fuel filter

I will be swapping an 02 5.3l into an 87 C10. I am planning to use push lock hose and 6AN fittings at the sender and the fuel rail. I would also like to use a fuel filter with 6AN fittings. I will be using full length feed and return lines as well as the truck fpr, so the corvette filter/regulator would be a poor choice for my application.

For the ease of future replacements it would be ideal if I could find an oem filter commonly available at parts stores. Anyone aware of a fuel filter with 6AN fittings?

OEM with 6AN ends? Probably not.
However, you can get them with 3/8" ends like the vette filter that will allow you to just pop on the same clip on style connectors you would normally use at the fuel rail.

On my car I used -6 on one end compression on the other to use the stock steel 3/8" line, along with that I just bought a summit brand -6 fuel filter with replaceable/cleanable elements. No issues so far. I used the ICT billet brand quick connect -6 fittings at the rail for both the 3/8" feed and 5/16" return I assume you could use the same fittings at the sending unit.

Some of the summit brand fuel filters tht are -6AN can be took apart and cleaned. No need to buy another. Just clean the element and reuse it. Thts what i do.

AC Delco GF652 with Metric to -6AN adapters.

Or find a 3/8 to 3/8 WIX filter with the GM style fuel rail clip retainer. WIX 33300 is close but 5/16 Inlet to 3/8 Out. Note you would need to carry the clip tool with you JIC.

I'm using both setups for different reasons, but really like the AC Delco solution the best as it is a common filter (Silverado) and is easy on/off.

The take apart ones either leak or do not offer the same filtration level that FI requires. And they are expensive to boot. YMMV.

Russell makes them with replaceable cartridges and o-ring seals — they don’t leak. Not cheap though.

What adapter fittings do you use for the GF652?

Would these work?
