Battery power

Will pulling the negative from battery clear codes on a e38 ECU... just need it to clear everything. Can someone confirm??

Wouldn't it be easy to just try it?

For about $25 you can get an OBDII plug in and phone app that will not only read/clear codes, but let you access all sorts of other data.

Or if it's driveable take it down to one of the auto parts stores and have them scan it for codes. They can erase the codes if you want them to. They don't charge for the scan.

25 bucks? No way dude. They are all over Amazon for $10. And Torque Lite is free and it still finds and erases codes. I think every catr guy should have these two things.

Ya I just needed to make sure it would. I kept trying to pull it and it kept going into limp mode and stumbling with a dead pedal.
Finally got it to do a idle learn. Every time I reset the ecu it tales me an hr to get it not pop P0068 ... some map to tb corelation.
