Condenser: Hardmount or Isolate?
Condenser: Hardmount or Isolate? Hello all,
I'm going to put a 96 Impala condenser in my 1978 Caprice. Are you guys hard-mounting your condensers or are you using rubber isolaters? If you are using isolaters, what kind are you using?

I've seen them mounted all different ways, hard mounted to the radiator (which is soft mounted) hard mounted to the core support and soft mounted to the core support similar to a radiator, top and bottom mount with rubber isolaters.

Man, I restored a 1971 Pontiac Grand Safari wagon a few years ago and I looked and LOOKED for those exact isolaters and couldn't find them. The "good" news is my wife totaled it with a front end collision, so this time around when I rebuild it I can put the right mounting isolators on!
