Gen 4 wrong Cam sensor connecter Hi Everyone,
I ordered a swap harness for a 2011 6.0L w/ 6l90e. I mistakenly ordered one dor a non VVT engine. I have the old harness still. I assume I could just look at the pin out locations on the old harness and insert them into the new harness?
Is there any problem with this approach?

So I depinned the 5 wire cam sensor connector from my old harness, and started spinning the PSI harness then noticed all 5 pinnout locations on the PSI harness are connected to something. I assume the current cam connector account for 3 of them, but not sure about the other 2. Any insight?
It should be a 5 wire connector originally if it was a vvt engine. 3 wires go to the cam sensor, other 2 are for vvt. If u are deleting vvt thin your harness should be a 3 wire cam sensor connector only. Plug it directly into the cam sensor. Take the original metal bracket/short front harness off completely.
If u are deleting vvt and ordered a vvt harness thin just reuse the 5 pin short harness/bracket and leave vvt unplugged. Works either way.

Or if u ordered a non vvt harness and want to keep vvt u will need to add the 2 wires back. Just go directly from the front vvt pigtail to the ecu. Its just 2 wires. U can look up the correct pins on lt1swap.com
