gen4 swap questions
hello everyone, im sure im going to get told to read this link and read that or already posted stuff.... iv read for days and honestly im exhausted from it, so all help is appreciated. project is a 57 3100 with a 09 dbc 6.0 swap, vvt delete cam gear and cover with sensor. I had it all wired up to a 0411 pcm and hp tuned to delete vats and so on. ran into a no rpm signal and then lead me to find out that the engine has a 58 tooth reluctor and 4x cam where as my pcm is set for 24x and im assuming 1x cam. iv seen the Lingenfelter box and read its mostly bs... and also how hp was suppost to add more to there software to alter this and I haven't seen it.... basicly im left with change the motor or tear it down. or... get the 09 haness and pcm and do it that way. also has a 4l80 trans behind it. any hep is great, sry if this very same thing is posted but everything I read hasn't given me a more direct answer... thank you
I would sell the harness and ECU that you already have and then contact one of the harness vendors. They can set you up with a Gen 4 ECU and a T42 trans controller. You will have to go do DBW, since none of the Gen IV ECUs have IAC drivers.

had a few issues with spark even after, then I had found I was some how dropping voltage to the coils. even thow they were in the existing power source from the original fuse block? idk understand but moved them and got my spark back. first ls swap so it was a big learning curve for me.. but now its time to button it up and get the rest of the truck done. thank you again everyone for all your ideas and in put.
