Default 2004 5.7 harness mating a 4l80e

So my son and I are pulling the 2.4l out of the jeep TJ an Have run into a little snag. The donor engine is a LS1 that had a manual transmission but we plan to use a 4l80e 4wd transmission that I sourced. The issue is that The motor is from a 2004 GTO and it had a manual tranny. I know that there is a 4l60e that was available but not a 4l80e so can't just reprogram for it. Looking for options since Novak Conversions is suggesting i Use a 6.0 computer that was already mated to 4l80e and have it tuned for the 5.7. Wouldn't there already be a mapping for this if it was a option? What else do I need to know about when using the 6.0 truck computer?

I've been using this forum and the search for about 6 months. Just signed up!

2004 gto should use a p59 computer with the 7604 operating system. pretty sure there is a 80e segment swap available for that.

What truckdoug said. you should be able to do a segment swap on the ecu, youll just need a harness that is setup for an 80e with the trans plug and the 2 external VSS sensors. the manual trans GTO harness wont do it.

I do have the 80e wiring harness. I will contact them to see if this is possible as they said the 80e wasn't an available option to select on the LS1 harness. I'll report back...

Game plan is to use the ls1 harness that came with engine and switch out the ls1 computer to the 6.0 computer. 80e is not an available option on the ls1 computer as they checked unfortunately. I'll need to find a dyno place to change settings for the 5.7 config afterwards.
