Yes the length is better and they are setup for rear mount already so you can simply remove the unwanted wires and mount pcm inside the car without modification.

you can make any type of harness work, 99% of the sensor connectors are the same across platforms. but if you're trying to swap a 100% stock ls1 into something else, absolutely the shortest distance A to B is calling one of the vendors in the PCM section for a harness/computer/tune.
