A/C compressor on l83 engine Swap hi guys
I have a 1991 C1500 with Gen 5 l83 swap
I just want to know how to make my A/C controlled my the ECM ?
In Gmupfitter’s manual there is only 4 wires for the A/C system 3 for the hi pressure sensor and 1 called the A/C clutch relay control, I did the hi pressure sensor but still didn’t do the A/C clutch relay control wire and I don’t think it’s going to help if I connect it.
some says that the A/C compressor in these models are variable displacement compressors and it needs a CAN Bus signal correct me if I’m wrong. If it’s right then I should use the BCM which I don’t have it and trying to bypass it, even for the alternator I swapped it with 4 pin ones to avoid the BCM
