Thought I would share some info on my latest build, 1976 K5 Blazer with an LS3/4L75E swap. I will post up pics on a daily basis and feel free to ask questions or leave suggestions.
That's bad ***! Hope you dont plan to paint it! I had a Department of Agriculture 59 Chevy wagon, but the lettering had been removed, so you could barely read it on the doors.
Nice blazer. I worked on a super clean garage kept example for a guy and it drove like new with a 5.3 when it was finished.
Around here these things are typically so rusty you are buying a VIN and title kit that needs everything except a frame and axles to make it work.
Subbed! That thing is beautiful! Love the Forest painting on the doors. I plan on doing a similar LS swap to my 2 door Tahoe this summer. And being in the Midwest I agree with these guys, it's impossible to find a rust free K5. Looking forward to seeing this build happen.

Is that trans their new supermatic version of 4L60E style ? Let it be known, it is recommended (B&M) that trans coolers have the lines mounted on the top to allow any trapped air to be bleed out. FWIW

yes it is a heavily updated 4L60E rated at 650ft/lb. Thanks for the input, I'm not sure I can agree with them, I will stick with what has always worked.
Cool truck. That sign on the doors look like they were done recently and then rubbed to make them appear old. They're cool anyway, but pretty sure they arent original.

If you research the 4l75E you'll be surprised what people are doing with them. Being rated at 650 ft/lb it will be fine behind a 480HP LS3. The gearing in the 4L60 is much nicer than the 4L80. I think the original 4L60 was only rated at 360 ft/lb
