Bouncing Voltage Gauge

Recently installed a LS1 in my 1987 944 turbo and immediately noticed the voltage gauge bouncing. Never an issue with this gauge in the past. I have done some reading online, but haven't found a ton of info on this issue. With the engine running, I am reading ~14.45 Volts at the battery terminals. Any suggestions other than checking all the grounds?

If it's not the gauge and only does it with engine running, it's probably a bad rectifier in the alternator.

Don't measure the voltage at the battery. It will smooth out the ripples. Measure it at the fuse box and see if an external gauge bounces.
