Bouncing Voltage Gauge

Bouncing Voltage Gauge Recently installed a LS1 in my 1987 944 turbo and immediately noticed the voltage gauge bouncing. Never an issue with this gauge in the past. I have done some reading online, but haven't found a ton of info on this issue. With the engine running, I am reading ~14.45 Volts at the battery terminals. Any suggestions other than checking all the grounds?

Thanks for the help guys, I think it was the rectifier. I sent it out to be rebuilt as a 1 wire (figuring the rectifier was shot anyway) and wanting to simplify things. Rebuilt alternator works great, the voltage gauge bounce is gone, shows 14.60V solid at the battery.
