Alright, some background, I’m running an LS2 in my 944 track car (road course). Second season on track with the swap, Bosch 044 pump running through a Corvette Filter/Regulator. On the way home from the first track day of the season today the fuel pressure spiked to over 100 (my dash gauge only reads to 100). Never had any issues last year.
I’m assuming the Filter/Regulator died. Is this a problem with the Corvette part? Should I just swap in a replacement or get a higher quality adjustable FPR and separate filter?
Got 11 years on my LS6 98 Wrangler swap with a C5 FPR. 255 Walbro pump. Zero issues. I've used the Bosch external 044 pumps on four or five LS swaps with the C5 FPR again with zero issues.
Is it possible there is some other problem? Something that has changed/moved/broke loose and is restricting the return line - and that's jacking the pressure up?
Thanks for the input gentleman, picked up a wix filter today and installed, everything is back to normal. I was surprised how different it looked from the one that failed, nicer looking seams, and the in/return fittings were different lengths. The one that came out was from summit, I got it in a kit with the screw on AN fittings (which I like, the clip on ones make me nervous).

I took a look at that carefully while I was under there today, couldn’t see any damage to the return line, or any of the lines. The return is in a spot where nothing can really catch it. It’s well above and behind all the moving suspension parts.
