Swapping help I got a 1966 caprice I am putting a 2002 5.3 with 4/60 in I live in boaz al and would like to see if there’s anyone in my area that I could pick their brain on how to stuff because I want to do as much of the swap myself as I can. Not going to put any power adders on or rebuild the motor but not made my mind up yet as to if I want to use the truck intake or switch to a car one. I really like the engine covers that come on the Escalade but if not could smooth the intake I guess. I have read that the high end intake don’t help much just adds to the cost of the build, so any pointers would be appreciated close to me or not

I just completed a 2005 5.3 swap in a 70 Impala. So far I love it only got about 300 miles on it so far. I am not a mechanic it took a while doing it
part time but I got it done and running. You will need the motor mount adapters from KWhizz. I'm running a 4L80e trans and I kept the truck intake
no issues.

Look very carefully at how little ground clearance you might have with that 5.3 truck motor. I'd suggest the Holley 302-2 or maybe -3 oil pan to give you a shallower pan with better ground clearance.
