Need Help Identifying Thread Size
I'm in the process of installing a new engine in my Camaro and I can't find the thread pitch of the port that is just past the valley cover on the rear of the block. I initially thought it was 1/8npt but it is a good bit smaller than that. Does anybody knows if this is an oil port and what the thread size is? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Unless you know who made it...you're in a better position than anyone to say.
But from that photo, no way whatsoever does it look too small for 1/8" NPT, assuming you're referring to that open threaded port just below a bit of tape.

Do you have an assortment of metric screws? See what fits....

Several years ago, I bought "The Original Thread Checker" at the link below, actually an Ebay purchase. Probably one of the handiest tools I've ever bought. You can't see it but the size and thread pitch are embossed into each checker. Even the obscure old screws and nuts are covered here. This thing even checks the sizes you will never find in the Lowes and Home Depot hardware aisles.
