Doing a swap 06 5.3L into a 67 chevelle. We are running the truck manifold and throttle body. What is everyone running for the cold air intake? We are using the mass also.
This is a terrible picture, but in the top left corner you can see my homemade cold air intake. I used some rubber edging from McMaster and a piece of sheet metal. There's an air filter behind the sheet metal.
Like most others - pieced together. 4" silicone ell and Airaid conical filter from Jeg's; 4" x 24" aluminum pipe with a 45 degree ell in the middle. Cut to fit. Mass air and other fittings welded in. Then painted with truck bed liner spray to match valve covers.
Edit - oh, and a bracket under the filter end to support the assembly. Attachment 714909

Like that mounting bracket underpowered.....can't believe how many I see just 'hanging' there with no support.
Thanks. Its actually a mount that was already on the Intake tube due to it is for the silverado, just a little manipulation to get in in position to mount on my core support. Kind of a happy accident i was able to use it, But i certainly would not have just left it hand there but i have seen it on other swaps before.
I bought the various aluminum pieces cut and fit them as needed, bought a MAF sensor boss and had it all welded. I fab"d the plate at the fender. I had the air inlet ceramic coated in Titanium color that matches other details of my car.
