Default C10 DBW TAC problems

Using a P59, 2003 Yukon base tune. 6.0 LQ4 engine.

I have 2 different metal backed TAC modules here. Trying to use a 6.5 diesel pedal for bolt in ability to my firewall.

I pulled both TAC's and harnesses myself. Both from 2003 Silverado's. One is a 6 wire I completely botched the repinning of. Truck would start and idle, no throttle response.

So I grabbed another pedal/TAC/TB/TAC harness for trouble shooting. It has throttle response, will start and idle, then loses communication. Found a broken wire on it. Also found out it has 8 wires, instead of 6 like the other one.

So... Which harness is the proper one to use with a 6.5 pedal? Are they interchangeable on the 2003 TAC module? And how exactly is it supposed to be repinned for the 6.5 pedal, because I find conflicting information everywhere.

I would use a pedal like the ones that come with the engine you are using. FAR more compatible.

Yes. like stated above u need a matching pedal and tac module. If they don't match up correctly u will have issues. I've had issues with them not matching the same yr ecu. Just modifie a 2003 dbw pedal and bolt it into the c10. I do it all the time.

OR get u a drive by cable harness, Cable tb, and a stock Silverado throttle cable. Thin u can reuse the original gas pedal etc. Easy peasy!!!

Lol.

The answer, I figured out myself, is the 9 wire harness is 03-05.

To use the 9 wire 03-05 harness with a 6.5 diesel pedal,you switch,at the pedal side, pins A and J. Put A where J is,and vise versa.

Hopefully this helps someone in the future.

I think you mean to swap A and E, not A and J
