maf reads max engine idle high

I have a LS2/4L65E out of 06 GTO it has been converted to throttle by cable with a LS1 ECM ,the MAF reads very high and the idle is a 1K,my tuner cant get it idle down , it has a Edlebrock throttle body

Throttle by cable? Or wire? You can adjust a cable. Wire is ECM controlled. Cable controlled by your foot.

Got a feeling cable idle is ecu controlled as well via some sort of idle air control valve.

Yep, forgot about the IAC. It could be hanging up due to dirt, etc.

If these have a throttle stop, should check to be sure that it’s not set too far open.
