Lq4 to ls2 swap

Lq4 to ls2 swap Hey there I’ve got a 05 2500hd lq4 with a factory nv4500 in it. I had originally planned on doing a heads and cam build on. But my lq4 has 105k on it and being that I don’t what it’s life looked like I started looking around for rebuilt stuff. I have found a rebuilt ls2 long block for reasonable money and may pull the trigger on it if I can make the swap fairly easily. I have discovered that I will need to deal with extending the cam sensor and knock sensor wiring. Can you buy harnesses for that? Also anything else that would need to be addressed to swap?

I’m not sure I’d be wasting money as I’m looking to bump compression on the lq4 and the ls2 has the flat top pistons with 243 heads. Basically for the price of heads I can have a rebuilt long block ls2. Throw a cam in and I’m where I want to be. I’m just not sure if it is a fairly straight forward swap.
It's your build do what you wish, and yes they sell extension harnesses for cam and knock sensors, just FYI the cps extension usually has the 2 outside wires flipped which will cause a hard start issue.
