Street cams from here on out!
There are people who don't care if the engine has street manors or not, Local alcohol funny car driver drove a big tire vega with the same blown big block he ran in competition, He wouldn't drive it to the store or anything, He would trailer it to where the local street racers were running and run it though. That was in the early 1980's if I remember correctly. There were some heavy hitters on the street way back then.

I have raced for 30 plus years. Started with SBC. I have had some decent SBC combos. Seen many combos to compare. I have a super simple combo now. 364 cube LS, 823 heads ,milled 080. Vic jr intake, custom cam from the best. Flowtechinduction.com, Dyna tech headers. I have no idea the horsepower, but the car is about 2775 ish and has been a best of 5.88 with a 1.220 60ft. Do the math. I will never go back to old school. You have no idea how many 400s, 421s, 434s etc that I have outran. They have TONS more dollars invested. Pick the right parts and dollar for dollar, the LS shines. Now granted, if you are buying aftermarket heads and all that, I think power is going to be similar. As someone has already said, its just a air pump. It doesn't know what generation of engine it is.

I found some other posts on this site a few months ago while I was researching and it was the exact same thing, a bunch of people being rude and acting like thugs to each other. I guess I knew what to expect but i just got caught up in it.

I shouldn't have taken it out on you and I apologize.

If all goes well I will end up with a single turbo'ed LY6 with a TH400 or 4L80E, the truck will be back halfed and more then likely have a narrowed 8.8 unless I find a sweet deal on a 9 inch...I am literally just playing around with the 5.3 so I can learn (and not about what intake to use LOL) about LS engines.. I wasn't actually trying to say that intake was a good choice for that engine with a stock cam...I was really just trying to say that in my opinion it was good enough to get a general idea of the engines power for a comparison to older engines and I still think that's true...if people reading this don't agree I respect your opinion but all the drama is just childish

Anyone reading feel free to continue spamming insults and **** talking....if that's what you enjoy doing with your time I got no problem with that but I would just say that you should think about what you put out into the word even when it's done anonymously.
i think you didn’t start getting insulted until you started acting like a fool. A few people were telling you what’s wrong with your combo. After all, you came here bitching about it. So then we started respectfully telling you what the issues where. We kinda thought you were looking for answers. That’s usually what a forum is used for, to find answers or get help. But I guess you were just wanting to bitch about your engine being a turd and try and bag on the LS engine. You got all bent out of shape when people were telling you the truth, why. You didn’t want to hear that. That’s where the fight ensued.
