So, my project is using a 4.8 and c5 vette front subframe and suspension.
I got the vette balancer as its the only way to clear the rack.
Next purchase is a water pump.
In sone of my searches, it shows that the camaro and vette pumps are the same. Others say no.
Since the camaro ones are way cheaper, will the pulley spacing work with the vette balancer? Rest of the accessories will be on custom fabricated brackets due to some interesting constraints in tbe engine bay.
Also, anyone able to beat a $53 shipped water pump?

The Vette balancer will work ONLY with Vette accessory spacing, including ONLY Vette water pumps. This is because Vette accessory spacing is the closest to the block, followed by Gen IV Camaro, then Gen V Camaro/truck.

Surely the Vette is not different than all the regular LS3 stuff ?

To see what the spacings are, check out Holley's website in the accessory drive section.

All LS accessories will physically fit all standard LS blocks, but as mentioned there are essentially 3 different spacing configurations: Corvette, 4th gen F-body, 5th gen Camaro/truck. That means that you need a Corvette water pump to work with the balancer.
I, for example, have an L99 Camaro water pump with my LQ4 brackets. I previously used an L92 pump out of a 2010 Escalade.
