Exhaust questions I know the exhaust on the L83 is 2.5" which is also the same as the exhaust on my jeep. I also know the common way to go about this is to run a 2 into 1 muffler on the JK swaps but the exit is 3"..
My magna flow muffler is fairly new and it's a single in and single out 2.5" and had the idea to save money by reusing the muffler out system already on my jeep and on the front side, adding a Y pipe and then feeding the two forward pipes into that.
I won't be running cats, at least for now.
Anyone see an issue with this idea?

As said above I used the Flow master 2:1 merge 2.5" in diameter but then I did go up to 3" single exhaust into a 3" muffler and then a 3" tail pipe. Depending on your HP levels I think you would be fine reusing your current parts. You could always redo if you are not happy.
Or run 3" from the merge to the muffler and again if you aren't happy change it to 3"

I think at the end of the day, I will move into the direction you did, or to a 2 2.5" dual and 1 exit 3" muffler. I just happen to like the sound it makes now, and something inside me is hoping itll be somewhat similar.
I guess my next study is if I can bypass the rear o2s or if I have to run them.
