Mustang LS Swap Nothing Fancy
Well I finally have most of the parts and some progress done to start a thread. Its been a slow journey to get to the point to where I am you know with kids and all. So I picked up an 01 mustang v6 for cheap in Feb of last year, not pretty by any means. Wish I could of been a bit more patient and found a clean one to start with. So this one will be more of a track hoe....

Yes I have the majority of what I need to get this thing rolling, I'm gathering all the pics and throwing them up here. I went with an AJE K member that you'll see right now...

After searching for a while for a 8.8 rear end I found one on CL from an 02 gt for $180! Cleaned it up then painted it. Out with the 7.5 and in with the 8.8...

Purchased a 5.3 out of an 02 Silverado with 180k on it. Despite the high miles it was pretty clean inside. So I cleaned it up and painted it. I was going to paint it my daughter's favorite color which is purple but the purple was just to dull, so I painted my second favorite color pink. YES I SAID PINK!

If anybody's wondering I went with the hummer oil pan. I did cut one coil off on all four corners of the car so if it hang's too low Ill have to swap it out with an F body pan or i think Holley has a revised pan i believe. I also copied this idea from someone from another group which makes pulling the motor out and installing it easier.... The top core support will be bolted in place.

For the fuel system it has -8an feed and return braided lines going to the cell. For now since it will be NA for a bit while I save up for turbo ****, a single quantum 380 pump will feed the motor. Excuse the shitty welds and shitty brackets, its all I had laying around the house.

Coming along nicely. Pink? That’s a first. It’ll be easy to find oil leaks but difficult to hide any grime. Yes to Fox body dimensional front arms, just use the bigger ball joint. The slightly narrower stance looks better and allows a bit more clearance if you’re going to lower it.

Yeah lol pink, do you think I'll run into problems using the fox ball joints? I just recently pressed them in there and they are a bitch to get out...

The car is now gutted and the mess of wiring all removed. I will be rewiring the car with only whats needed. I also wanted to test out the harbor freight welder I bought so I made a shifter pedestal.
