with Fox ball joints you'll need spacers to use 94-04 spindles. The Fox ball joints are taller.

Something I've never understood.... Why do people put a GM motor in a Ford and a Ford motor in a GM?

Power per dollar, if I could afford to put a coyote in there I would of went that route. I believe the LS is easier to work on than the coyote although I have no experience with the coyote. As for a ford in a gm you got me...

I never understood why people are so hung up on brand loyalty. Does Ford send you checks? Does GM send you checks? Its a great combination for a great price. Its called Hot Rodding and its been around a long time! Its why just about every 30's Ford coupe you see has a SBC in it lol.

I've said this forever. the chevy 350 is the most whored out engine of all time. 454 is 2nd behind the 350. For years it's always been chevy into ford. CONSISTENTLY. However, there are a few ford powerplants in chevy's, they're just few and far between, and mostly hidden.........

Yes that oil pan is going to hang to low and not sure why you cut the core support.?? Why not just lift the motor up higher ?

come on man. i stacked washers and its been fine for 7 years. if i had the correct spacers to do it at the time i totes would have used them but i didnt. i almost daily drive the car and have made countless low 9 sec and a few high 8 sec passes on the car with zero problems.

Very slow progress... I got the car wired up, installed the spacer for the fox ball joints, fuel system is complete and mounted the trans cooler.

Ignore the scratches I will repaint...

Nice build! Any more progress? I'm new here. I know it's been a while but I'm also about to do the same with a '98 and am trying to get all the info and inspiration I can.
