Default Hooker Blackheart Install on 87 Square Body...

Got my hands on the Hooker exhaust for my 87.....The install was seamless and fit like it was made for the truck...lol....
I used the coated exhaust manifolds instead of headers. There is a mile of clearance with these manifolds, and the finish is perfect....
I did the side exit tailpipes, everything in the 2.5" system...

What I didn't use were any other Hooker parts for the install, but there were no problems. Stock clam shells and mounts, and a Dirty Dingo trans mount I got for a steal. Anyway, on to the pictures....

Coated manifolds..

Exhaust pictures...

And the finish shot...

Awesome! And sweet truck!

If you really want to class up those side exit pipes, consider putting a slash cut on them. I have the same exhaust (in 3") and also love it.

Thanks. Definitely going to do that, just going to get a few miles on them first. Something about cutting brand new pipes causes me some angst.....lol

Those look very nice. Which accessory drive did you end up using on this swap? Main thing that caught my eye was the power steering pump setup. Was wondering if it was a stock configuration, or after market parts.

Thanks. It is a stock CTS-V 2006 system, uses the corvette spacing.....I painted the reservoir.

You can get them from Pace. They call it the f-body but shows the CTS-V LS6 in the picture. You have to buy the vette balancer and water pump...
