That's going to be fun! your smile after going for the drive says it all! Be careful of your head and that rollbar. Definitely put some padding on it near your head.... people die all the time from hitting their heads on rollbars without helmets on....
I planned to do something about padding up the cage, plus I don’t drive the car without a helmet... even on the streets.
This looks like it's gonna be a fun track toy -- love the use of the old T10. But I got the biggest kick out of the comment about not driving without a helmet on the street - right after I watched a video of the car being driven on the street without a helmet. Was someone else doing the driving there? (chuckle) 'Course, it was posted on April Fool's Day, so who knows.....
Do you have a VSS? Any issues if not?
For my C4 swap I’m using the factory 4+3 tranny (T10) though I’m troubleshooting a no spark issue right now.
Does this generation Miata have a c-beam like a C4?

nope, just an rpm signal from the engine
no issues
no spark: crank sensor, cam sensor, grounds, power. Basically it.
sure does, but I ditched it and just welded up some tabs in the trans tunnel on a plate. Crossmember has 2 poly bushings that bolt into the tabs.
works great!

New Ac Delco cam and crank sensors, redid grounds(each coil to each head, neg term to block, block to frame, frame to head). Vats disabled. Going to try tomorrow. 🤞
are you using an aftermarket tach for the rpm signal? Happen to know if it’s needed to make it run( mine doesn’t have it).
Any pics of the trans crossmember? Awhile ago I had the chance to check out a 1st gen Miata and was surprised to see it had a c-beam setup like my C4.

forgot about vats. Oops lol. Good luck 👍🏼
Yeah I’m using an aftermarket tach.... cheap one. Can’t get it calibrated correct.... dunno if it’s ecu programming or a button on the backside, but I read that it’s a “4 cylinder” signal, so idk, I’ll explore around. no, that’s only for tach output.
and if you need more detail, I kinda walk through it on my YouTube. Just fast forward to the endish.
LS Swap Drift Miata - EP:1 Engine and Trans mounts
Watched the vid - still can’t tell if the new pump solved the lack of oil pressure...other than vague reference to not blowing it up and putting another 6.0L in it...

Just realized I didn’t throw it in there. Oops lol
bout to go to the moon.
fresh rebuild:
forged rods and pistons with arp2000 rod bolts
balanced rotating assembly
all new bearings
rings
.030 over
high pressure high volume pump
arp headstuds
sloppy best cam
comp springs
btr hardened pushrods
trunnion kit
ls9 mls gaskets
all brand new gaskets to seal everything
holley pan with trap door baffle
ls6 intake, stock truck throttle body, ebay rails regulator lines and fittings everywhere
also added 2 oil coolers and still need to plumb in the accusump
poor mans rebuild on a tr6060 and converting it to a t56 magnum
time to let er eat..... gonna keep it conservative around 8-900. See if everything still holds together since the trans and clutch are only rated at 700
