Default L76 with LS3 cam

I did a DOD/AFM delete on my L76 engine and used the LS3 take out cam. my tuner guy used HP tuners to delete the DOD/AFM from the ECM and said it was already deleted. My donor car had headers when I purchased the engine/trans from a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT. My car is using stock CTS-V manifolds. do you think I will need a tune. Seems to run pretty good and scan tool shows it's taking out around 4% fuel on idle. Wadda y'all think

I bet with a stock LS3 cam, you will be good to go. Four percent is nothing.

I have a 07 Avalanche 6.0 L76 wih lifter noise. I’m going to do the dod delete, maybe keep the vvt.I was thinking about going with an LS3 cam if I didn’t have to do a tune, just the dod delete. So I got my answer before I asked the question. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Isn’t the ls3 a down on power under the curve?
‘I guess it’s better than nothing if you are going for peak power vs all around power

From a test posted, the ls3 is low on power down in the rpm band, only 50hp at peak
