As far as I know they were built on the Chevy frame and drive train so I would look at 58-64 Chevy swaps for ideas. There is a 64 SS swap on here that is quite informative.
I had a 57 Laurentian back in the 60's when I was stationed in Plattsburgh NY in the Air Force and everything about it was Chevy except the sheet metal. Good luck with the swap.
