Default First start up with CEL

Started the motor for the first time after my swap and I've got a CEL on. It's an 04 5.3 out of a Denali. I hooked up a scanner and I have no codes. Why would I have a CEL with no codes?
I've also got a low oil pressure light on. I'm not sure what's going on with that either. I'm going to try a mechanical guage to see if there really is low pressure. I've read about the O ring for the pickup tube ( after I put the motor in the car of course). I have to look to see if I can remove the pan in the car.
Any ideas ?

yup it's still there. The ECU was sent to a local tuner to clear the VATS and that kinda stuff also.

Well I'm lost on that one then. As for the low oil oil pressure, you're already on the right track. Mechanical gauge will be key in resolving that issue.

Maybe try a different scanner.

Looks like CEL IS from Evap codes, not sure why the tuner didn't clear them.
still not sure about the low oil pressure light though. I'll see what the mechanical guage says.
