So my next project swap is going to be my 94 4runner 4x4. I can find lr4s (4.8) all day and I have a lead on one from a 2000 Silverado with 5speed already attached
What I need to know is will an older np208 Transfer case bolt up to it? I need passenger drop trans case for my 4runner
BTW NOVAK adapters, Advanced adapters both have lots of research info on their web pages as to what fits what.
The NP208 with 27sp input will fit swap few over the years NP208/NP241's. If the NV3500 is a V8 which the 4.8L had as an option and it was 27 spine output, using the stock adapter. The NV3500 is already pretty weak I wouldn't waste money on a NP205 with it. Given he is in a light 4runner and 4.8L NV3500 and NP208 will be fine.
He would need an aftermarket adapter for a 205 or find the elusive round style 205 which is $$$ either way 205 is overkill for his app.
All V8 GM transfer cases round style are the same bolt pattern pretty much to this day, so as long as the input spline match they bolt up.
