I have a 2003 CTS pedal that I'd like to use for my swap. My TAC module is an '04 truck module, and my TB & TAC work fine with the truck pedal.
Does anyone have a pinout of the '03 cadillac pedal? It seems that this pedal isn't very popular for swaps, but the end connector is the same so I'm hoping I can just re-pin my pedal-to-tac harness to make it work. It's a 6-pin connector as shown in the image, so it doesn't have the 3rd sensor. TIA!
Unlikely to work as the pedals different resistor values that send different voltage levels at closed and wide open throttle to the TACC. TACC must match ECU and internal file or the vehicle will go into limp mode or not accel properly.
Hmm ok thanks, I stand corrected also as the end connector is not the same, although the socket does look like it would be. I measured the resistance and it does differ between the pedals.
I had a 98 6.5 Diesel pedal sitting around also, and that was a pretty quick pin change (E <--> A) to get working so I'll go with it for now since I have to move in like 17 days :o.
I really kind of like the short throw and looks of the CTS pedal though so I'm bummed that I won't be able to use it. The truck and diesel pedals both have a ton of travel and they read like 150% fully depressed, which makes me wonder if they would hit the floor or firewall before maxing out their travel.
