Harness compatibility between years.
Hey all. I posted this in the Gen IV external forum but maybe it's better here since it's swap related.
I picked up a 2012 6.0 with a 6L90e from a GMC Savana 4500 cutaway van. At least I think that's what it is...year is correct at least haha. See pic.
The harness is all cut up unfortunately. I think the lengths and config aren't great anyway being a box van. I want to get a stock harness and just mod it like I did with my LQ4 swap. Someone is selling a 2010 Tahoe harness. It's 6.0 with 6L80e. I know this will likely have AFM wiring included, other than that, will it have what I need to make my standalone harness?
For that matter I should be able to use like an 2011, 12, 13 5.3 harness as long as it has the 6Lxxe transmission?
I'm trying to learn all the Gen IV differences, but it's more complicated than it was when I first swapped 10+ years ago haha. Plus this bring a commercial pullout there are some other things that I'm learning that I'll need to address. New converter, definitely a tune or at least a Silverado stock tune...
This is going in an 88 Suburban by the way...
Thanks in advance!!
Justin
