Default Fuel lines right over y pipe?

Have a texas speed y pipe with cats for a ls1 going in a 97 camaro the fuel lines land right over the pipe , did the factory ls cars have the fuel and brake lines routed different or the pipe crossed over before the lines, even if I routed the lines they would be 3-4” from the pipe but that would be better than right over it,or loosening a lot of ground clearence. So what is everyone doing?

Brings up the question of "how close is safe for the fuel/exhaust"?

fuel lines/brake lines are routed above part of the y-pipe on My ls car, it is that way from factory. There is also a heat shield that covers those lines all the way up to the ABS control unit.

Well, "we" don't all have to try and cheat....not required here once the vehicle reaches 35 years old. Actually, a whole bunch of places with no or minimal/limited requirements. It's how I figure out which state to move to. https://www.motorbiscuit.com/a-surpr...e-inspections/
