Default 4l80e neutral safety switch wiring

Hey guys,
I've got a 2005 4l80e in my 70 chevelle, working on getting everything wired and I ran into a snag. The harness I'm using is from an earlier 2 plug style neutral safety switch and my switch is a one plug style. Based on the pinouts I have mostly everything wired minus a few pins. specifically pins B and G on the 7 wire switch, it seems there is only on wire on the newer style switch (pin 9) that has these functions. Where do these wires go and which one should I use to wire the new switch?
thanks

Are you trying to use the switch for both neutral safety switch and back up light functions? If so, you don't need the light green wire in B, that is for the shift interlock on newer cars. The yellow wire in G is the wire that goes to the starter relay, which is 1 on the newer switch

yes this is exactly what I'm looking to do. would you mind walking me through where everything goes so I can double check? the range sensors and the ground are obvious so you can skip over those. what is pin 9 on the new switch for?

On the new switch, #12 will hook to the purple wire coming from the ignition switch that originally went to the starter. #1 will go to the 85 on the starter relay. 86 on the starter relay will go to ground. 30 will be a constant hot from the battery, usually with a 40a fuse, and 87 will go to the starter solenoid.

The back up lights are #11 will be ignition power and #10 will go to the back up lights.

That #9 is the power to the shift interlock, it only works in Park.

I think that is what you are wanting, correct?

so pin 9 is not used? As far as I know there is no shift interlock on this car. Just to clarify the pin 12 is going to the purple wire of the original ignition switch in the car?
this is exactly what I was looking for so thank you

Correct, pin 12 is the wire that goes into the NSS, then pin 1 coming out of the NSS will kick the starter relay on. Also 70 Chevelles dont have shift interlocks unless you are using a shifter out of a late model car, but even then, it isn't mandatory.
