s10 motor mounts

Im working on swapping a 87 s10. I have the carshopinc mounts. And having the slots towards firewall creates many issues. When I had it sitting with the slots of the mounts facing foreword, everything cleared and seemed to work. Does it matter much which way they go? Main issues are they heads hit the firewall and heater box. Power steering pump hits the gearbox where the line screws into pump. Oil pan is h3 and clears either way.

I would say whichever way everything clears is how it should work.

I just said screw it and ordered another set of mounts. what I get for buying knock off brand parts

Whose did you order? Holley? They are KNOWN to fit...

i ordered from jtr stealth conversions. He said they changed their design years ago and never changed pictures on website. Too many copy cats he was saying.

I like those. just heard they only work with all of their parts. and the power steering brackets are expensive.

I am here to say the Holley parts are good. Over priced to some degree, but overall very good. Be prepared to have to make mods for your application. In my S10 build, we had many mods that may or may not had been necessary, but thought we should. Think ahead, such as access to changing things down the road.
