Small snag was a stupidity issue on my part. Missed torquing a rod bolt...Luckily there was no damage. Took it back down, inspected all parts, even bearing was ok and checked within spec. Since then, I took it on it's maiden voyage to Goodguys Dallas. Immediately after fixing the rod bolt issue, motor went back in and i pulled out garage packed up for the ~250mi trip. Small hiccup on the way with a burnt plug wire but that was quickly resolved with another set and removal of the thermal boots.
Since then i've put about 6k miles on the truck (2-3k / year), blasting the ice cold AC and enjoying it. Recently it's spent more time parked as i picked up another toy, a 1992 ZR-1.
Pretty soon it's back to working on the Camaro with a long list of repairs and upgrades in the process.
