Closest loose replica would be a Le Mans track car from then, '75 Renault, '73 917, '71 Ferrari 312 PB...certainly looks very much the mid-80s 24h Le Mans car.. Guess I could try that out on the inspectors. I'm only worried about the OBD, I'll be sticking some cats and proper exhaust on the beastie so NBD there, the kit is designed to be street legal by today's standards.

There ya go. You did mention if it is a replica they go by the year it represents. So whatever you do to the engine is up to you.

So... if you can get it inspected as a mid 70s or earlier replica, why do you need (or want) to be concerned with OBD, cats, etc?
