Well I have a friend of mine who needs a new engine in what I believe is a 2009 Yukon xl Denali. Well we are swapping in a lq4 into it. Main question is do I need a conversion harness to get the lq4 to work with the 6l80 trans? I swapped a l92 in my 08 suburban but kept the 4l60 and didn't have to do any kind of conversion but what about the swap I am about to possibly do for my friend? Thanks in advance for any help that I can get.

Unless you change the reluctor on the crank, it will NEVER work. LQ4 is gen III with a 24x reluctor. The L92 which is Gen IV has a 58x reluctor. Until you change that it won't work.

I can use the lingenfelter conversion module right?

No. It only works with newer Gen IV 58x engines into older cars. Not the reverse of that.
Get a newer engine.
